Clover RPG guide: your first village route

Find Chief Farris in Kamo Village and accept the opening story task. Read the objective on the left of the screen before running toward a distant marker: it tells you which person or interaction the game currently expects. The opening route sends you to the blacksmith for a weapon, giving you a way to handle the combat that follows.

Choose a starter weapon you want to learn and equip it through your inventory. This guide does not rank the starter choices or assume they can all be swapped freely later. Your immediate goal is to leave the opening conversation with the weapon and the next story objective ready, rather than commit to an untested endgame build.

Continue the story to unlock your broom

After the weapon step, continue through the village story. The beginner walkthroughs pass through Ira’s gathering task and Johan’s broom task. Complete the objective each NPC gives you and return when the journal asks for a hand-in; reaching a location alone may leave the conversation unfinished.

When Johan gives you a broom, equip it from the inventory before trying to fly. The PC walkthroughs use Y to call the equipped broom. Keep the story objective as your route guide: broom travel helps you cross the landscape, but it does not replace the required NPC conversations.

Use side quests to solve a specific roadblock

If you accept A Friend in Need, you are looking for three wagon wheels around Kamo Village. Mana Vision helps reveal them, and the objective counter tells you whether each interaction counted. Our wagon wheel locations guide shows the blacksmith, Inn and tower landmarks, plus the return step that comes after 3/3.

For broader progress, follow the main story until more activities become available. The playthroughs also use missions, world events and professions as other ways to progress. They are alternatives to explore as you unlock them; this page does not assign a fixed experience rate or promise a fastest leveling loop.

Reach the first Grimoire milestone

Your next major target is the Arcane Whispers quest and its magic-discovery objective. Once it appears, follow the marker toward Wisdom’s Peak and the ceremony. The separate Clover RPG Grimoire guide explains the entrance interaction, Announcer and the magic-awakening result.

Do not abandon your story because an older guide says magic unlocks at level 10. One release playthrough explicitly corrects its earlier advice to level 15, while other recordings still use 10. Follow your character’s current quest availability; a level number from a different recording is not a substitute for the prerequisite showing in your journal.

Check a trait before spending points

Discovering a trait is different from purchasing it. The short beginner walkthrough opens Inner Realm from the U utility wheel and visits the Tree of Knowledge to inspect available traits. Read the requirement and effect before confirming a purchase, especially if you have not decided how you want to play.

Keep stat points, skill points and a magic’s own progression separate when reading the interfaces. A tutorial showing one author’s choices does not establish the best distribution for every character. This opening route therefore gets you to the relevant systems without prescribing unsupported damage formulas or a costly reset.

If your progress seems to stop

Open J and compare the current objective with the last action you completed. If the task says to talk or return, finish that conversation; if it still asks you to collect something, check its counter before moving on. These checks help distinguish an unfinished objective from simply standing at the right landmark.

If the current UI differs from the route here, record the quest name and its actual wording before spending currency or rerolling. No reset, character wipe or paid reroll is required by this guide. Continue with the specific task your journal has unlocked, then return to the first-Grimoire route when Arcane Whispers is available.
