How to unlock Clover RPG traits

After discovering a trait, open U and select Inner Realm. Interact with Meditation and choose the option to uncover new traits. The reviewed interface distinguishes this option from uncovering new abilities, so select the trait branch rather than assuming you are buying a spell.

The trait panel lists the traits your character has discovered. Select one to read its description and requirements. Discovery determines which options you can inspect; purchase determines whether you actually unlock the effect. An on-screen discovery notification alone is not a purchase confirmation.

Read the selected trait’s requirements

Check the Skill Points Available count and the requirements on the right of the selected trait. One reviewed Bargain Master panel has a two-Skill-Point requirement while the character has zero available. That explains why discovering a useful option does not mean you can immediately afford it.

Costs differ between traits. Some written guides also disagree on individual prices: Arcane Rebound is listed with different point costs in the collected sources. Check your current panel for that purchase rather than treating one fixed table as the price of every trait.

Choose an effect that matches what you are doing

Read the effect before spending points. A merchant-sale bonus serves a different purpose from a combat effect, and a progression bonus has a different use from an endgame damage option. Match the description to the activity you want to improve.

For a chain of prerequisites, count the earlier purchases as well as the final trait. This is a resource-planning recommendation, not a claim that every trait has a prerequisite chain. The listed requirements tell you which steps apply to the option in front of you.

Keep traits, stats and magic passives separate

Character stat investment and Skill Point spending are separate parts of progression. The guides describe stat requirements that discover traits, followed by a separate unlock purchase. Do not assume spending a stat point also purchases the discovered trait.

Magic passives have their own Grimoire Echo entrance, explained in the magic skills guide. If you are trying to unlock a weapon skill, use the dojo guide instead. These systems can all use progression resources without sharing one menu or one cost.

Requirements and ranking limits

This page explains the discovery-to-purchase process. It does not provide a complete current trait database or label every effect as universally best. The collected ranking videos use different assumptions, and some repeat the same written information.

For your immediate next purchase, inspect the exact effect and requirements in Meditation. If the available list differs, check whether you have discovered the option before spending points elsewhere. Continue the beginner route if the relevant progression systems are still unavailable.
