Quick Guide
- Check that Vagabond’s Attire is available in the blacksmith’s Craft menu.
- Read the recipe: Crafting Level 1, 5 Cloth and 2 String.
- Lock equipment you want to keep before considering Smelt.
- Craft one outfit and compare the Crafting XP and item notification.
For a concrete Clover RPG crafting XP example, make Vagabond's Attire at the blacksmith with 5 Cloth and 2 String. The shown recipe requires Crafting Level 1; one recorded craft adds 150 XP at Crafting Level 14.

Clover RPG crafting: the outfit recipe
Open the blacksmith’s Craft interface and select Outfits, then choose Vagabond’s Attire. The demonstrated panel lists Crafting Level 1 as the crafting requirement and shows five Cloth plus two String as the materials. Read your selected recipe before buying or converting materials.
The same panel has an equipment requirement of Level 7. That is a separate line from Crafting Level 1: the level needed to wear an outfit should not be treated as the level needed to make it. Your goal here is the crafting action and its profession XP, so keep those two requirements separate.
| Requirement | Shown value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Crafting level | 1 | Making the outfit |
| Cloth | 5 | Material for one outfit |
| String | 2 | Material for one outfit |
| Character level to equip | 7 | Wearing the outfit; a separate condition |

Choose a material source you can sustain
The tutorial author describes collecting unwanted equipment from bandit camps and missions, returning to the blacksmith and using Smelt for materials. Before following that example, lock the equipment you want to keep. Smelting is a material-conversion choice, not a step that should be applied to every item in your bag.
The footage also discusses turning Bamboo into Cloth and String. It does not establish a complete Bamboo gathering route or a universal conversion cost in the frames used for this page. Read the actual material recipe before you commit a stack. Existing Cloth and String can be used directly when they already meet the outfit requirement.
If camps and missions are already part of your play, spare equipment can feed this crafting example. If you only want profession XP, include the time spent obtaining materials in your comparison. The author’s own video description notes that harvesting Bamboo may be faster for that narrower goal; it does not provide a controlled comparison proving one best route. The mission progression guide separates those missions from one-time story tasks.
Craft an outfit and verify the result
Check the quantity selector and make one outfit first. This gives you a readable test: the material requirement is clear, the output is one item, and the XP change can be compared without a larger batch obscuring the result.
After crafting, check for the item notification and the completion message. In the example, the screen displays Successfully crafted Vagabond’s Attire and the outfit stack increases. A recipe appearing in the list is not the same as that successful craft. If the Craft button remains unavailable, read the requirement and material counts on the selected recipe rather than assuming your character’s combat level is the missing gate.
What the recorded 150 XP gain actually shows
The reviewed example has Crafting Level 14 with 2,058 of 3,241 XP before the outfit craft. After the successful Vagabond’s Attire notification, the profession panel reads 2,208 of 3,241 XP. Subtracting those displayed values gives a 150 XP gain for that sample.
Keep the output item and the XP change together when you test it yourself. An earlier notification in the footage is for String, while the later one names Vagabond’s Attire. Reading both the profession bar and the completion message avoids attributing the wrong craft’s result to the outfit.

Decide whether repeating it is worthwhile
The useful loop is materials, one outfit craft, then a result check. Continue only if the material cost and XP shown by your character suit your goal. This page does not establish a fixed XP rate for every profession level, a maximum leveling time or guaranteed XP per hour.
Another profession guide recommends higher-tier crafts and compares String with Silver Ingots. That is an alternative to investigate when you already have those resources, not proof that you should buy expensive ore for this route. Compare a complete input cycle: materials used, gathering or smelting time, output received and profession progress.
Crafting XP is separate from the combat and weapon-proficiency systems. If your actual problem is a weapon you cannot equip or a full proficiency bar that still needs an upgrade, use the weapon proficiency guide instead of making outfits to solve that gate.
